2018 Creative Goals!

This is my last post before the new year of which I'll have some very exciting news to share and of course a lot more card inspiration. This year I achieved a few of my personal 'creative' goals - I started a YouTube channel which has a total of (14) videos and I also made a few design teams and guest appearances. My goals for 2018 are pretty much the same except I want to do more - more videos, more guest appearances. I'd like to reach 1000 followers on Instagram and reach 50 subscribers on YouTube. Lastly I want to encourage myself to always try new things - towards the end of this year I feel I found and settled into my card style - but I don't want to limit myself to this. So I'm setting a reminder to try new techniques, new products, and different stamp/die brands.   

Samantha's 2018 Creative Goals

1. Apply for design team roles.
2. Create more card tutorial videos for YouTube. 
+ increase subscribers.
3. Reach 1000 followers on Instagram.
4. Don't settle - try new techniques!
5. Colour more 
Try a Copic colouring class (Kit and Clowder).

I see improvement throughout the year regarding photography skills alone... design team watermarks and my own watermark I created - which I plan on tweaking a little in the early months of 2018.

Growing in Unity: Day 1

Yippee!! After waiting 11 months, 10 days, it's finally my week to share my Unity cards. 5 whole days of inspiration is coming your way...oh! and lets not forget the sponsored giveaway by Unity at the end of my week - a grab bag with 25 random stamps! My first card I decided to use one of my favourite sets - I actually combined two (no, three!) Unity sets that really go well together. How do you use your Unity stamps? Would you mix and match them? When I first starting stamping (15 years ago) the thought of mixing sets would make me cringe - but now... no problems! I think it's a great way to make the most of your stamp collection. Here are my cards using Unity: Tumbleweed Houses , On My Way and Gypsy Journal (sentiment only) I coloured the images using a few of my ZIG brush pens and cut them out with my silhouette (for those who are visiting me for the first time - I try to avoid fussy cutting!) A Super Quick Card!

Just sharing another card I made (with the help of master 2 1/2yo). Stamp is unity -  Vase with stripes.  C oloured with prisma pencils and gamsol. A super quick card to make as master 2 1/2yo did most of the work. I just added some washi tape, sequins, twine and a stamp I coloured in during the week (for practice)  :) Entered into  ARTastic Inspiration Photo Challenge . Link to Unity Friends with Flair.
