Ink Road Stamps: Friday Feature

It's Friday Feature over at Ink Road Stamps blog! Today the design team are showcasing the stamp set: Call Me Maybe.

I've used this set a few times now as I love the little speech/heart bubble, so this time I thought I'd flip the idea around a little and feature the sentiments. I used my silhouette to cut out some speech bubbles so that I could stamp the sentiments in each one. I picked bright vibrant ink (Ranger dye ink) to contrast against the black. I also did some masking and ink blending - to colour the back of the hearts. I embellished the card with black twine and enamel dots. 


Some of the bubbles are lifted up using foam tape - to give the card added interest.

Growing in Unity: Day 1

Yippee!! After waiting 11 months, 10 days, it's finally my week to share my Unity cards. 5 whole days of inspiration is coming your way...oh! and lets not forget the sponsored giveaway by Unity at the end of my week - a grab bag with 25 random stamps! My first card I decided to use one of my favourite sets - I actually combined two (no, three!) Unity sets that really go well together. How do you use your Unity stamps? Would you mix and match them? When I first starting stamping (15 years ago) the thought of mixing sets would make me cringe - but now... no problems! I think it's a great way to make the most of your stamp collection. A Super Quick Card!

Just sharing another card I made (with the help of master 2 1/2yo). Stamp is unity -  Vase with stripes.  C oloured with prisma pencils and gamsol. A super quick card to make as master 2 1/2yo did most of the work.
